Welcome to UK LLC Apply. These Terms and Conditions outline the rules and regulations for the use of UK LLC Apply, registered in the United Kingdom.

By accessing UK LLC Apply and creating an account, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please refrain from using UK LLC Apply.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using UK LLC Apply, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions, along with our Privacy Notice. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

2. User Account

2.1. Registration

To access certain features of UK LLC Apply, you must register for an account by providing accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process.

2.2. Communications from UK LLC

All approved users named on an approved project in the UK LLC Trusted Research Environment (TRE) will receive emails from the UK LLC Data Team for the duration of their project. These emails contain important information such as maintenance windows and data deletion instructions. If you want to opt out of these emails you must submit an amendment via UK LLC Apply to remove yourself from the project.

You can opt in to receive newsletters and other updates from UK LLC. This includes UK LLC Data Bulletin and UK LLC Insights. You can opt out of these newsletters at any time by clicking unsubscribe in the emails or by updating your account profile in UK LLC Apply.

2.3. Account Responsibility

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login information and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account or any other security breach.

3. User Content and Data

3.1. User Responsibility

By submitting content or information (the “User Data”) to UK LLC Apply, you represent that you have the right to post such information and that it does not violate the rights of any third party. You retain ownership of your User Data but grant us permission to share with external parties during the review of your application and, where requested, with data owners (e.g. the NHS) and accrediting bodies (e.g. the UK Statistics Authority).

3.2. Data Accuracy

You agree to provide accurate and truthful information when entering User Data on UK LLC Apply. We are not responsible for any issues that arise from incorrect or misleading information provided by users.

3.3. Privacy Notice

Our use of your data is subject to our Privacy Notice, which is in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR). By using UK LLC Apply, you agree to the collection and use of your data as outlined in the Privacy Notice.

4. Prohibited Activities

When using UK LLC Apply, you agree not to:

  • Use UK LLC Apply for any unlawful or prohibited activities.
  • Submit false or misleading information.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other accounts or UK LLC Apply’s systems.
  • Distribute viruses, malware, or any other harmful code.
  • Engage in any activity that would disrupt the functionality of UK LLC Apply.

5. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account or access to UK LLC Apply at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we deem to be inappropriate, illegal, or in violation of these Terms.

All content, trademarks, and data on UK LLC Apply, including but not limited to text, images, graphics, and logos, are the property of UK LLC or its content suppliers and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not use, copy, or distribute any content without our written permission.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, UK LLC shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from your use or inability to use UK LLC Apply.

8. Changes to Terms and Conditions

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be effective upon posting on UK LLC Apply. It is your responsibility to review these terms periodically for updates.

9. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
